Debra Hammer, MA, Senior Associate Debra Hammer has had experience working for a variety of different newspapers and magazines as a writer, copy editor and senior editor. She has worked for Hirst Córdova Public Relations for the past two and half years focusing on event planning, community relations, media relations, issues management and grassroots/grasstops organizing projects for clients including Washoe Medical Center, Lovelace Health System, Reid & Associates, the Navajo Nation, CH2MHill and Dewey Square Group.
She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. She also holds a Master's degree from Washington University in St. Louis where she studied American History and American Cultural Studies. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America.
